Incubation Centre (IC) IIT Patna is establishing a sophisticated biotechnology lab to nurture deep tech life science startups under ‘BIRAC-BioNEST’ program. To identify and motivate potential life science startups, we are conducting an “Ideathon 2.0” event in collaboration with the Department of Life Science, Central University of South Bihar, Gaya.

This is an event where the students, faculty, staff of the institute and startup enthusiasts can present their innovative ideas that has innovation and commercialisation potential to solve burning issues in life sciences including (but not limited to) themes such as :  Food Technology, Agri-tech, Microbiology, Biosensors, Bio-electronics, Nanotechnology, Biotechnology and Sustainable Waste management, etc.

There will be another expert talk session on “Idea to Market” which will focus on bridging the gap between innovative research ideas and their real-world applications. We aim to provide valuable insights on how academic research/ideas can transition into commercially viable products or services, offering students, scientists, and budding entrepreneurs a roadmap from concept to market.
