MeitY Startup Hub, Government of India, has envisaged an umbrella scheme called GENESIS (Gen-Next Support for Innovative Startups) with a budget of Rs. 490 Crores for 5 years scheme to support startups working in cutting-edge technologies and digital innovation. This initiative aims to discover, support, grow, nurture and empower entrepreneurs to transform their innovative ideas into successful ventures and accelerate successful startups in Tier-II and Tier-III cities, Focusing on collaborative engagement among startups, government, and corporates. The scheme promotes digitization based on the principles of inclusivity, accessibility, and affordability, leading to employment growth and economic development.

- Financial Assistance: Funding support of upto INR 10 Lakhs for prototype development, product creation, and scaling.

Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must be an Indian citizen, at least 18 years old at the time of application, and a first-generation entrepreneur dedicated to working full-time on the proposed startup idea throughout the EiR program.
- The startup should be in the ideation, validation, or early-stage phase, with total external funding (including government grants) not exceeding ₹10 lakh.
- The startup must focus on technological innovation aligned with the objectives of the GENESIS scheme, targeting areas such as Electronics & IT, emerging technologies (e.g., AI, IoT, blockchain), and digital solutions that address societal challenges in health, education, agriculture, or sustainability.
- The startup should demonstrate potential for scalability and a measurable impact, particularly in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
- The startup must be registered as a Private Limited Company or Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) under Indian laws.
